Flyer,

When I thought that my absence would make it better for you, I changed my mind.

Thanks a lot for your kind answers. I have just one more big question. I am doing an analysis of one big airline for the University, and I chose American Airlines, that's why I ask so many things about their operations and their HHRR related topics.

I have looked in the net for quite a long time to find these numbers, but I haven't been able to find them anywhere, so I can't do anything apart from asking for some help here. I apologize for that...

I would like to know how many captains there are for each base and equipment. I ask for captains because I suppose that the total number of pilots will be around the double of it.

So, what I need is...

Apart from that, just a last question and I swear I will have everything I need. More or less, how many hours are pilots flying in a duty period since they start until they finish that period? I don't mean the total hours of the month line, but only the maximum hours for the duty periods that are in that line. I don't know if I you understand what I mean.

A big thank you for your help

AA folks:

Any FO base seniority info, or is that too complex with all the aircraft types?

Our schedules are built for a maximum of 14hrs duty per day(they can extend us to 16 for weather or maintenance problems), and we are scheduled anywhere from roughly 4hrs-7:59 block flight time per day. Average depends on type of trip (day trip, 2day, 3, 4), but I would guess most are 5hrs/day scheduled flight time.
