I don't know much about ALPA's compensation structure.
No idea what "allowances" are exactly.
$169k would buy a lot of suits.

I can imagine there are pilots who didnt vote, didnt stay informed, and choose to slam their fellow pilots for taking some sort of action rather than no action at all.
The answer is in the report. If you saw the amount of underhandedness presented by National you'd wonder how an organization could be so corrupt. PDF page 13 (document page 10) begins to describe the actions.

Its kind of a pain, but here's how you do it:

Some of the salaries and allowances are eye-opening.
Thanks "Essential" for this information. I worked as an ALPA "volunteer" for over 8 years and spent more time at 535 Herndon Avenue than I care to think about. Having known and worked with a lot of the folks listed, I was absolutely, positively stunned at the salaries paid for administrative assistants, mid-level managers and some of the Air & Safety staff. Good grief Charlie Brown. ALPA is paying $ 75,000+ for administrative assistants, who were in the office around 9:15-9:25 AM, took an hour for lunch and left around 4:30 PM. Of course, that's M-F with ALL holidays off. What..staff members making $ 125,000+ and of course it was with great pleasure to know that ALPO is still paying Duane Worthless over $ 260,000 per year.

I would be screaming bloody murder is I knew my hard earned dues money was being spent like that.

Another double...no, make it a triple shot of your strongest please.
