I have to agree. A wounded Marine with a severe head injury would never be sent commercial air. I suspect most of the story is correct but the extent of his injuries could not have been that bad. In fact airlines forbid travel for passengers with severe injuries. They have to take medivac flights.
Regardless, he was a MARINE. He was injured serving his country and OUR freedoms. Regarldess of if this is how the standard operations go in regards to military injuries or not, that point is mute. The fact he served and there were open seats in first class, he should be given those seats injured or not just for serving for his country. Let alone whent he Captain of the plane ask for such a simple request to be done, it should be DONE. No questions asked.

Thanks for your kind words guys but I'm only the messenger here.
The Captain involved in this is an IAH based 767 Captain who did the right thing and is now being punished for it.

This story literally made me sick. This is about as low a blow that can be dealt by one human being to another. That Marine had volunteered his life to protect and serve Americans . . . including that scumbag red coat. Disregarding the willingness to sacrifice one's own life - one's entire WORLD; everything one has and will ever have - is to completely devalue human existence. You have to wonder how rotten and terrible that red coat's existence is to be able to walk out her door and so heinously denigrate that Marine and his service. I guess we can take solace in the fact that the red coat is already dead on the inside . . .

Air Mike (CAL out in Guam) is the civilian medivac service in Micronesia. There is no prohibition on transporting pax with injuries (and neither you, I , or the red coat on duty is qualified to diagnose the level of any injury anyhow) - however some carrier's Ops Specs prohibit flights as air ambulance, definately not the case with Air Mike. A wounded Marine would be sent by air ambulence (military medivac) if his doctor determined it was required - but it certainly isn't always required.

Let's see what happens.
Story just sent to Bill O'Reilly. If he doesn't cover it, he'll pass it on to Greta, Sean or Glenn if it is legit. They have a good investigative team at all of those shows.
EDIT: Just sent it to Glenn Beck as well.
