If I could offer some friendly advice to other posters who genuinely use this website for information, my advice would be to ignore every single one of his posts...it's all the same stuff anyway, and if nobody responds to him, I bet he'll give it up real quick. Skyhigh, seriously man, find some help, you're messed up.

Coming from you I'll take that as a complement! Seriously man.

Skyhigh are you calling me pathetic? THAT'S COMICAL. I haven't been on this site for three months, I post a reply and not more than two minutes later you respond to it. My initial plan of becoming a pilot didn't work out; so I made the best out of it. I'm now 22, straight out of college, and working in the industry in a different capacity for the largest aircraft financing company in the country, making more money than you, I'm sure. The best part of it, I don't sit at of my computer all day preaching doom and gloom to everyone because I didn't make it. I moved on! But I'm only 22 and you're 40 so I'm just an immature kid who doesn't know anything right?

Does anybody else feel that skyhigh is just simply annoying? Sky, that's not for you to respond to. Seeing how you will probably respond within 2 minutes. When do you sleep anyhow?

1,229 posts since May 2005

LOL!!!! Live life; not your computer! You have made 1,229 of the same exact posts. If someone who is new to this website wants to learn about aviation, they will most DEFINITELY see your posts and everyone else's responses. So if you have helped anyone at all, maybe you will help them in the future by not looking so pathetic and move on to your new "life" that I'm still not sure how you live it. Is your kid crying for the bottle and you're typing me a response to this message? Seriously, how do you live life if all you do is make posts on this website????

I haven't read all 900+ posts, but Skyhigh's recurring theme that I read is one critical of the time/value/risk equation of spending a boat load of money to chase a job that may not pay for the cost of entry into the job market for whatever reason.

You may not like the message, and obviously don't care for the messenger, but as long as you don't personalize your objection you're more than welcome to participate here.

As Uncle Bose pointed out, contrary points of view make for good dialog and I think that there is plenty of productive dialog on this topic. I would disagree with your assertion that Skyhigh's posts don't help. For anyone thinking of pursuing, it's important to have full disclosure - the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. If they know all the facts, and still decide to go for it - then it should be encouragement all the way! Skyhigh doesn't offer that encouragement - that's true. But, it's disclosure that everyone looking to jump into the piloting profession should hear. Maybe we should consider it "tough love".
Throwing this in from an older thread. Now, can we end this "SkyHigh sucks" debate? You come across as stubborn know-it-all teenagers.

Default Thanks Uncle Bose !!

Thank you for your support UB !!!

Sometimes I grow weary of typing out the same boring message over and over again. Then two guys come along and remind me of my purpose and I am renewed with motivation. Thanks also to ThePPilot and bman484 !!!

To answer some questions: As a father of four small children I have few opportunities to pursue hobbies. Occasionally I can sneak away for a minute or two to reply to a few posts. In addition I now live in the country and have few outlets for my aviation interests. Sadly you guys are all I have left after 20 years of aviation. Though your posts are meant to cause me harm I look forward to them and am very happy that you care enough to attempt to damage me.

Bman484, Good for you! You made it out of aviation and into a fruitful career. I know why I haunt this forum, what is your excuse if you have "moved on"?

Your Friend,

SkyHigh

Skyhigh, you think I "haunt" this forum? I've made a grand total of 17 or 18? posts in 4 months compared to your 1000+! The last time I was on this site was 3 months ago. To answer your question about why I am here today...well, I guess you didn't understand from my prior post that I work in the aviation industry, just not in the capacity of a pilot. It's beneficial for me to stay informed about all fronts of the industry and this is one way, among others, for me to do that. The great thing is that I will go to work tomorrow and the coming weeks and probably won't revist this site for sometime and you'll STILL be flooding every thread on this page with your useless propaganda every single second of every single day. Anyway, that's enough posting for one day.

Wrong again!
Three grandchildren and one on the way, with every hope that they don't go through life with the negitive attitude that you have.
Even worse would be you propagating a brude of off spring with your outlook on life.
Best of luck to you also. Your going to need it!

I am only down on aviation. Everything else I like. Thanks for the good wishes. We all could use a little luck.
