You get at least 2 days off after every 5 days of training. Personally, I had one week where I only had 4 days of training between days off and 2 of my sets of days off were 3 days long. Also any break of two days or longer qualifies for a positive space seat back home. As for which days you get off, it can be but isn't always the weekend that you get off. My days off happened to fall mid-week. Hope that helps...

Hmmmm, looks like its cheaper to keep the CAL execs and buy off the UAL guys. Planned or coincidence?

As long as we get rid of the UAL guys, I, for one, don't care what it costs...

Captain Hunter (who doesn't negotiate through the press) admits a less than sterling career expectation for UAL pilots:

I certainly hope you are not setting yourself up for a bitter disappointment Bligh.

Every pilot I have flown with at United so far has had the same thought. Let both merger committees work it out and arbitrate if we have to. Then accept the outcome. It doesn't matter what WE think.

Don't go looking for smoking guns. For example, Tilton said United was "right sized" for this merger. Interesting premise since we have parked 94 Guppys and 6 400's since the announcement of the first merger attempt two years ago. That statement/action could be viewed differently by CAL pilots vs the 1437 furloughed pilots at United. I watched Herb's interview and easily take away a different viewpoint. Btw, you will never find a finer person than Herb Hunter.

Keep the eye on the ball home slice. That ball would be the JCBA.

Fritz
Fritz,

Can agree with you on the JCBA....that's where our QOL/$$/ect will be made for all of us. One VOICE, One CBA.

Outside of Wendy (and a few LEC officer's), I'm not versed on U-ALPA. What is Herb's position in the Union??
