If I recall there were 58 seats avail, but many of those will be the flows that will not show up for a few months.

I am curious what they will do with us as far as bidding a/c and domicile is concerned. Bid at bypassed class date and locked in or bid 3 months later when you finally show up for class.

It would seem they would want to get on with training and filling the vacancies they have rather than waiting on us to finally show up.

I feel like some closure would be nice :D

It is second hand at best, but I was told that the flow guys started accruing longevity on Aug 16th which would have been the day they would have flowed if they were not held back. With that understanding, I believe they will be able to bid on vacancies in the next AE.

Any idea how many slots are available for the 320 in Memphis?

The word is that the 320 is where most of the new hires are going.....

That may be true, but logistically, do they have the knowledge and access to DeltaNet/iCrew to (a) find out about the AE (b) understand how it all works and (c) put in a bid? If they are bypassed, they don't even show up for class, correct?

I'm not throwing stones, I just am asking.

Not sure if any are available. MEM DC9 FO is more likely IMO. MEM is our smallest base.

I heard that MEM was getting more people on the 320.... preferably below me.... :)

I guess we'll see...

My personal theory is there were a lot of fnwa guys stuck on the 320 who can now hold 757/767 elsewhere, & moved to it. With this last AE we ended up with about 110 A320 FO slots unfilled.

Put it in ATL and I'll bid for it. :D

Hell, you could open an ATL base and never increase flying and probably still be short system wide.
