Ralphie, I have to say that most of the guys I fly with do everything they can in their power to do the next right thing. Actually, I am generally impressed with most of them.
If you have issues, take it to Pro Stan, that is what they are there for. If the issue cannot be dealt with there it will escalate. Why do you think DAL does all of this testing. PPL can be BSed but these types of tests generally cannot be. |
That was very courteous for the e-mail update. It's nice to get a reality check and also hear that in the past some people have had to wait months. The bottom line is that we're excited to get started.

Just remember that if its been 3 weeks and you haven't gotten the no thanks email yet you are probably in good shape. |
Also FWIW my buddy interviewed mid July and was just offered a 9/20 class date. Congrats!!! :)

Friends- I'm only talking about the types who aren't fun to fly with, who aren't personable with passengers or fellow employees. The ones who grab their bags and leave before the passengers have deplaned and don't say goodbye to even the crew because they can't see past their own immediate self interest. I'm happy for you if you don't encounter them often. When I do, I make an extra effort to interact with my fellow crewmembers and our passengers to ensure they're getting at least some recognition.

Unfortunately, it's not against the rules to be a douche bag. Fortunately, there seem to be very few of them out there. If you're finding lots of them, you might need to look in the mirror.

OK, lets thread shift back to Delta New Hires/Class Dates/Cleared to Train.
Got the call from BB today! I will be joining all of you on the 20th of September in ATL. I'm going to be writing my 2 week notice tomorrow and I can't wait. If your wondering I interviewed mid July. Questions for the new hires in class now (or anyone in the know): What is the daily schedule like during indoc? Does the company pay for a hotel during indoc? (If not what are some good options for cheap places to stay that don't require a car?) Are there some items you wish you would have brought from home that would have helped with any aspect of initial training? Thanks again for all the info APC Pilot Error ---soon to be one with the widget |

Luckily, I'm not finding lots of them, internet tough guy. Just a few. I find that invariably they flew vipers, feel the need to tell everyone they flew vipers, and have over 400 posts.:D

Well I don't know if you would call it the drop yet but I got an email about bidding eqip/ domiciles for September 6th (Which I am sure I won't see DAL property till December for the hold however)
MSP 320B 8 DTW 320B 12 ATL M88B 2 MSP M88B 15 NYC M88B 10 DTW DC9B 3 MEM DC9B 3 MSP DC9B 2 Like I said not sure if this means this will be the exact drop but it is what the flows for that class were told to bid on. I think I'll be hoping for one of those MSP320's or DTW 320's not 100% yet though |

Sweat stains ruining all your shirts in the summer. A flight kit full of glycol in the winter. Fifi can't offer that !! |
