The scuttlebutt I've heard is that since we are "hiring" classes of around 50-60 and CPZ and MSA are holding back 30 of those for the 90 days, they will start in NOV, DEC, and JAN....Essentially the company is going to actually train roughly 25-30 new-hires per month for 6 months, but they will technically all have been "hired" in AUG, SEP, OCT.

Once the new year hits and the next bid comes out, its anyone's guess how they'll handle the new-hires/flows to maximize efficiency....

I have used Abbbots in the past for another brand X- airline and was happy with them. Also the Delta Store (Flight Station) just off Virginia Ave has most uniforms as well and they have been pretty good based on previous experience.

The -9s have seat scrunchies that will prevent the "wet seat".

THe -88 guys really, really, REALLY need to get the DC-9 sunshields. With all the airplanes parked, there should be a room filled with them. They work unbelievably well.

Nu,
Tech Ops no longer stocks seat scrunchies (taxi driver seat cushions). I tried to get one on my last trip, as it was super warm they were missing from the coat closet. I called and was told they no longer carry them in MSP. FYI.

Has anyone been given a class start date it Oct yet? If so, when was your interview date? I interviewed 2 Aug, and received the conditional hire, but have not heard anything since. The word was it would be next year before we went to class. Hoping for better news, and treading water in the pool........

Anyway, I agree with Box. Leave the flight deck in a condition that you would like to find it in.

I agree the flight deck should be left tidy and clean. Many times I leave a sani wipe on the yolk as an added touch.

That being said, BOs preference on the headset is just that, a preference. I prefer it another way so I leave it the way I prefer it.

This ties into Jonso29s point, its left the way I like to find it.

Not that anyone asked me, but.................

On pmNWA jets with telex installed, I leave it plugged in.

On pmDelta jets with the nasty headclamps, I stow it.

In general, that's also the way I seem to find them too.

Ferd <------------going to order a telex 850 sometime. Just get sticker shock and back away before hitting the checkout button:o

That seems about right. Probably where our differences arise.

Yo Ferd, check out ebay. SOMETIMES you can find a good deal. I'm looking for 850's as well. I bought some new 750's with the single plug a few years back for $90. Adaptor at the local FBO for $10.
