Delta Pilots Association

Not surprising if DAL leaves ALPA, that CAL/UAL will leave as well...
has anyone ever discussed CAL/UAL and DPA joining to form the "whatever-you-want-to-call-it pilots association"? The LPA-- legacy pilots association...?
Then there is more of a common ground/interest and more resources/$$, etc.

1) Lee will favor RJs to the detriment of the majors
2) Lee will support cabotage
3) Lee will support foreign ownership

Really? Then what you wrote below was total BS! Again!
I don't know if this was just an over emotional oversight on your part, but this looks to me that you'll stoop to pure BS in order to bolster your argument. Fail!
What is this...short attention span theatre? I've NEVER said that APA is my hero. I've only pointed out that their pilots still have them and not ALPA. I had to point that out in order to counter the baseless claim from the apologists like you that all the independent unions are unhappy and want to return to ALPA. B!.....S!.......

I don't have a direct interest in this flight, but I would like to pose a few questions for those who do.
Who relaxed scope (pre 9/11 and BK) at both DAL and NWA??
Who will fix this problem, what (would) be the difference between ALPA (national) and an independent in solving this?
We have a society that has an aversion to taking responsibility for its own screw ups. Your pilots agreed to relaxed scope, not Comair pilots, ASA, or Mesba pilots. Only your group can solve this probelm and your group will profit or suffer from the result (or lack there of) of your solution.
You want to leave ALPA because its poorly run, bloated, or not cost affective, fine. Just remember ALPA is an association of unions, with your fellow airline pilots. True, some ALPA groups fly under your colors, but again, they did not create themselves, you and your fellow pilots at DAL and NWA let these companies be. As an independent, you will flight the fight alone. Good luck and God speed!

Nice avatar! Now get into the discussions in which you belong.

Actually that is true; thanks to the Administration before Lee. But we were on the brink of bankruptcy and that was one last Hail Mary, in an attempt to avoid BK as we knew the pension would be gone, if we went into BK. It didn't work, but it was worth the try, imo.
BTW, your hero APA, never saw anything anywhere near C2K, and was the first to offer concessions post 9/11. As with their introduction of the B-scale, they started another round of concessionary pattern bargaining. At least they were a leader at something!

1.5 years ahead of our bankruptcy filing, GE capital said bankruptcy for DAL was unavoidable - How did DALPA and ALPA national miss that? Why did they not convey this info to their constituents? anyone?
Why would anyone give up their retirement freely outside of bankruptcy? Pry it from my cold dead fingers. I still dont get this one.
PG I have respect for your insight, but man you are better than posts like this.
