Aka DPA sycophant, DPA apologist, DPA secret police, DPA insider. I swear this guy does more harm to DPA than he helps. Tim, if your reading any of Carls rants, chain the dog. He is hurting dpa's chance at success. Don't stop him from speaking on here. Just give him some lessons in civil debate. (Yes I know both sides need lessons Carl)

Fantastic job pulling a meaningless/unsupported number out of your ass. Kind of like "a million jobs created or saved." Keep up the good work. Moak is proud.
Submitting a card to DPA doesn't automatically imply that one supports DPA. Isn't it possible that over half of those pilots that submitted cards no longer support DPA? Isn't it possible that after reading the DPA talking points, sifting through the BS and finding the facts, one decided for themselves that DPA isn't the better choice?

Plus if DPA truly has 5500 ACTIVE cards, then where's the vote? Almost 4 years and we are still waiting. What's the hold up?

I think that's a valid question for a movement running on "transparency." I would also like to know what will trigger the vote.

Of course that's a possibility. In fact, it's already happened. DALPA's Special Committee started a campaign called 'I want my card back' or something like that. DPA got 9 requests to return their card. All 9 got returned.

You've already alluded to the holdup above. Statistically, you have to assume that a certain percentage either won't vote or changed their minds. I've heard they would like 6,000 active cards before they file for a vote. Statistically, that would be a number that should guarantee a win. I don't think you should go forward due to pressure from people who already hope you'll fail. I advocate waiting until the numbers are there.

In the meantime, I advocate DALPA behaving like a union trying to restore our profession. That would be the quickest way to kill DPA.

The current published numbers on the website require an average of over 15 renewal cards per day, every day of the week for the next year, weekends and holidays included just to stay even. You would need to tack on an additional new sign up every day as well and that would just barely make 6,000 almost a year from now, 4 1/2 years after it got started.

This is the exact same nonsense stated by those hoping for our failure when we had 150 cards.

It's so interesting that some folks are so concerned about our card count. You clearly don't believe it, so relax and crack open another beer. Nothing to worry about.

In your opinion will there be a point, as we come closer to C2015, that will be a drop dead time to call for a vote? Can this be a continuous never ending campaign?

I can't answer that Dorfman because I'm not in the leadership. But I routinely urge them not to be pressured by anyone and wait for the numbers.
