Normally I would be pretty skeptical but the former rep is DM from Detriot. If you know him at all he is not exactly an ALPA cheerleader. He was a no voter on the on the TA

 

I can't speak to their motivation. I can say I felt deceived by their misrepresentation and lack of the "whole story" on a range of contract provisions.

I'm with Carl. Let's see the openers (theirs and ours).

 

If a scab is involved, I condemn it. There is no excuse for it.

And I've stated on numerous occasions that TC needs to take a powder if the DPA has any chance of gaining a vote...and I agree that there needs to be a credible "face" of the movement.

 

DPA set a vote yet?

Oh I should have known you'd use any excuse to not answer the question. So I'll rephrase:

There's one way to clear this up johnso. Call the three negotiators and ask them to release our opening position and the company's opening position. Easy. Or would that be like showing your hand in poker?

First of all, DM is a STRONG supporter of ALPA. He and I disagree on that, but he's still a good dude.

Second, I'm still amazed at the strong ALPA apologists such as you Dorfman. ALPA forgives and forgets ALL the scabs from United and Continental....and silence from you. Yet you're in a tizzy about an alleged scab publishing a letter on the DPA website? Your outrage is selective and partisan. Typical of the ALPA no matter what crowd.

Because I don't trust them. I don't think they told us the truth. I don't think they were straight with our elected reps at the time. I simply don't believe a word of what they say.

Since Johnso29 has had phone conversations with them, what's one more call to ask them to release our openers and the company's opener.

DM will stand up and call out ALPA when he thinks they are wrong. I respect that and he is also willing to get in the ring and try and make changes.

As for the scab issue, you have no idea of my feelings on this issue because I have not posted anything here and unless we talked at some point then you are assuming and you no what they say about assuming.

Just to be clear, you and I are in agreement on this issue. ALPA should have never let them, the scabs, in. I do have a hard time punishing an entire airline because they have scabs on the list. There should have been something set up to block the scabs from being in ALPA without punishing an entire airline. Will DPA let the scabs on our list in? Will you be silent about this?

As for being an ALPA apologist you are also assuming that is the case. As I have stated I sent in a card but the longer I looked at DPA they less attractive it became. ALPA has warts, many of them and they need to get fixed. I think DPA has gone a long way into exposing these warts and hopefully change is coming. However I just don't trust the DPA leadership. If TC steps down and a new credible face steps in I will send in my card tomorrow.

One final question. Why the name calling to anyone that disagrees with you? No debating just name calling. So should we label you a DPA drone or DPA dupe or maybe refer to DPA supporters as Timmy's kids. Better yet lets refrain from name calling and debate the issues.
