Default Curious: Did F9 Pilots fall for the trap?

Were the F9 pilots played by the typical management playbook of we need concessions to survive or was this order because this newly negotiated agreement REQUIRES the company to do this?

Serious question only. Not bashing.

The LOA required this order by Sept this year or the LOA was void.

Aircraft orders themselves are truly meaningless for Pilots today. DAL has been know to have orders in for new aircraft like a 737-800 and then when it comes time to take delivery they simply sell the option, convert it into management bonuses or whatever. The bottom line is that aircraft orders do not mean that the pilots of that company will actually fly them.

Of course, being burned by the puppet masters before, maybe someone actually learned and there is verbiage about actually taking delivery and operating the aircraft.

Everyone is assuming that Frontier, Republic, and/or a mix of the two will still exist by the time these airplanes are built... lets not get too ahead of ourselves here.

Agreed that is why there are several other things in the LOA that are required or it is void. I'm to old to get excited about a bright and shiny jet, got over that 20 years ago.

At least they have a plan.

The only orders "Delta" has announced has been for Republic.

This kills the C-Series for Republic. Your boy BB "played" Bombardier against Airbus and got what he wanted as far as price and financing guarantees.
