Anyone have news on the diverts from Newark to Bradley, including Air France's? Apparently LaHood at the DOT says "no excuses" on his tarmac delay (3 hour) rule.
Who's airlines and flights are caught up in this mess?

JetBlue. 504 FLL-EWR diverted and took 7 plus hours to deplane. ATC audio being played on Weather Channel, absolutely ridiculous. Our public blog response sounds like it was written by a teenager, and praises the impotent station GM who accomplished exactly nothing, rather than the crew. I'm disgusted by our amateur-hour management, yet again...

In late 2009, a CoEx flight from IAH-MSP diverts to RST (Rochester, MN). There are 47 Pax trapped for 6-7 hrs on an RJ, midnight-ish to 6am-ish. The Fine handed down for that was $175,000.
In early 2010, the Passenger Bill of Rights is signed into place. It will be interesting to see how the PBOR does in enforcing the fines against Airlines for their lack of handling situations that arise such as mentioned above.
All airlines (Major and Regional) at some point have had melt downs for excessive tarmac delays, but has there been one recently (and as public as this) to test the 18 months old Passenger Bill of Rights yet??
This will be interesting.....
