Default Virgin America Warning

Hey all of you Redwooders,

I hope you're keeping a close eye on what's going on at Pinnacle Corp. Peter Hunt is one of main reasons they are probably going into Bankruptcy. He is now the CFO at Virgin America.

Do not trust him. He will run that place into the ground just like he did Pinnacle and Colgan. No cost is too little for him.

But Pinnacle and Colgan are and will always be bottom feeders with little to zero financial backing. What all you haters fail to realize is that one of the wealthiest men in the world and his self respect own this airline. That is where the difference is. This aint Independence or Skybus or any weak suck start up like that.....

Agreed, I wouldnt start to worry until Sir Dickie B sells his stake in Virgin Atlantic and starts to get out of the airline business (which has been rumored for a while now).

Left out Mesaba. I guess since it's all one company, they're bottom feeders now, too. I think the reason Pinnacle Corp is in trouble right now is they bought Mesaba and moved their HQ to a swanky downtown office building all within a year without the financial balances to do so. Most of this reason was so the CEO could look good in the Memphis Business Journal. A CEO, I might add, who is no longer there and is drawing a pretty hefty sum of money as a severance to sit home and do nothing. Not sure how much Peter Hunt had to do with the whole thing....

Indy had 330 million in unrestricted cash at start up, and was an established entity via the ACA pilots, routes, etc. No comparison. Especially not to SkyBus.

And because of that...he is untouchable.

Everyone breaks, at some point. His airline hasn't been making a whole lot of money, I'm sure, just like any wealthy SIR KING he evaluates constantly when to pull the plug if things don't change for the better. Ego has a price.

Nobody hates you company, just the fact that for them is just a monopoly game, and you are a "Pawn in the game of Life (mongo)"

Correction: it hasn't made any money in any year since the original (or subsequent) investments and just doubled-down on an extra $150 mil in debt.
