I have been furloughed more times than I can count. I have more types than I have recurrent events.

I have stood the high ground more times than I can count. And you know what happens everytime I turn around to look for support, or even a show of confidence from my pilot brothers or my management to do what's right by its people. I end up on the bottom of another seniority list. So please spare me your crap. I no longer care to hear it. I am now working for the same person you all are. Myself. And if that means lining up behind an untried business model, or a nonunion carrier when there are no legacy jobs to be had? You know what I say? Go Virgin! I've never wished harm on anyone else and still don't. I want to see us all succeed. And I don't want that success to come from fish, any of the haters, or anyone else for that matter.

To act like I'm the problem when you all built this industry. Ha!
I'm not sure if you're speaking to anyone in particular because you didn't quote anyone, but please note I clearly stated I wish no ill will on any VA employees or those who want to work there.

No john's I was not speaking of you. I was referring to an earlier post. I have always tried to stay above the rhetoric around here. But I can't stand unfounded personnel attacks. Happy holiday's!

These are the numbers... Besides revenue every financial metric at va is getting worse, not better.

Profit q3 2010: 7 million
Profit q3 2011: -3 million

Profit year to date 2010: -43 million
Profit year to date 2011: -69 million

Operating profit 2010: - 1 million
Operating profit 2011: - 19 million

The bothersome aspect here for Virgin this their costs are about the lowest in the industry and still they are losing money.

That's the point. If there's a VA BK filing I'm afraid it will be buh buh Virgin.

Hang in there 4andC, the same guys bad mouthed Southwest and JetBlue when they were start ups. We heard the same rhetoric spouted toward JetBlue not too long ago, and sometimes still hear it because we are non-union. But in less than 10 years we are the 5th best compensated pilot group of all the majors. I wish you luck, it is always a risk to go to a start-up, hope for the best and prepare for the worst in this industry.

Interesting. How do you define "compensation"?

In fact, it is. And orders are not airplanes. Until they pull it up to the hangar and bring the maintenance records inside, its all just a promise.

Don't try and use facts on the true believers.

As others have said, if someone buys VX then the pilots will be ecstatic just to get stapled.

If not...burger flipping.

Or they could be down on their hands and knees cleaning their new boss's toilet bowl with a toothbrush. That is if he doesn't have them too busy installing a new flapper for his crapper!
