I checked the flight on Travel-net and it showed up as a DL flight with a 738.
I was surprised because I did not know our 800s went to Hawaii. The family member told me it was an Alaska Bird. He, too, was confused until I had to explain to him the JV.
Apparently, there is no money on that route

I think I have mentioned this. A family member of mine bought a full fare ticket from SAN-OGG. They decided to support DAL. This was last year.

Four days since the TA was announced and still no still no intel has leaked?! I guess I'm both impressed with our leadership's discipline to secrecy but I'm also disappointed that no one who's friends with any of the NC or MEC guys are savvy enough to get one of them drunk and plug them for answers.

Management's been making public statements. This agreement will allow them to reallocate flying to third parties and increase the gauge of the aircraft they fly. Delta's unit costs will decrease.
Based on these statements, it could be that management has jumped the gun with their assumption that this agreement will be ratified by their pilot group. Overall, the Delta pilots realize the cost of a quick deal is an deal that actually lowers Delta's expenses since there is a large ancillary savings with helping management re fleet Delta Connection.

I still want to know what the "Big Opportunity" is, that supposedly drove this unprecedented, 7mo. early, only 2mo. of negotiating, but 3 years locked into another sub par contract.
The only -big opportunity- I see here is; the opportunity to get us to comit to bankruptcy pay rates (adjusted for inflation), and less profity sharing, and bigger RJ's, just before the compnay starts posting $Billions in profits...

I keep up on most Delta news. I can't find a single source to confirm what you are saying management is plugging. Can you provide some links to that information.
