Delta has a TA

I was one that accused you of having an agenda and I am sorry. I just can't believe that all of these rumors about such low increases along with scope sale can be true however, they sure seem to have a lot of steam. I am anxious to see the details (as is everyone else) and am sick of the withholding of information and guess that I just took it out on you.
Sorry,
Sorry,
No problem, thanks.

Unfortunately True.
Word from rep.
4, 8.5,3,3
small increase to dc
35% cut in profit sharing to fund raises
Increases in 76 seat a/c, less overall rj hulls
No comment on jv, or Alaska.
No overtime! gs only
I actually am looking forward to going head to head with the sales men in the lounges, forums, etc. This is not insulting, its degrading.
P.S. I forgot!! there is also a ..... wait for it.... promise for 100 seat airframes included, no joke.

They could have started by not ratifying a crap TA (which we don't even get to see yet since the spin-machine isn't properly spun yet) and wasting our time on a vote.
What part of PAY and SCOPE did ALPA not hear in our survey results?

My rep did get back to me and told me not to believe what I heard. I'm still waiting for the official TA to read but I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy. I have always firmly supported DALPA and I never thought in reality I'd get a 45% pay raise. I am a realist. However, to take a 4% pay raise and get 2/3 of your previous profit sharing amounts to no pay raise at all. Surely it is obvious to them as well as everyone else. If when I receive the official TA it does amount to 4-8.5-3-3% with a 1/3 reduction in profit sharing then I will know that the rumors were true and the information was withheld to manage my expectations.
If these numbers are accurate I too will be voting NO for this TA. I have previously always voted YES.

But 5,561 posts? Looser.

I think one day I'll start my car and it'll blow up. Please point to Denny or T, I think they've had all they can stand of my gramma and spellin.

Lastly, I still do not trust FAQs to answer my questions about their motives either, and you know exactly what I am talking about. If they want respect, they need to act like they want to be treated. Open the website if you have nothing to hide. Let's see what you are all about. I am not going to further their political quest by signing a card just to read their so-called transparent information.

I don't like the contract and will vote against it. However I have not ever known when ALPA national interjected themselves into Dalpa negotiations and don't believe that happened this time. In fact the agreement substantially reduces the number of DCI pilots that will be working on contract for Delta airlines. The hard cap on DCI will be 455 airframes down from something above 650 now. They also will not be able to access one additional 76 seat airframe without mainline growth.
The more I read and hear it actually is becoming obvious to me that the agreement contains a lot more for the bottom half of the seniority list then the top half. My initial reaction was that it could not ratify. As I hear more I believe it will pass with the bottom half of the list. The top half however will vote it down. The question is by how much and will it offset the bottom. The bottom will look at the advancement the deal will offer and ignore the small contractual raises for the upgrade opportunities. If what I hear is true they may be substantial.
To get out of the leases on a large number of RJ's the company will have to place a substantial aircraft order with the company that holds those leases. You can connect the dots on what that means but it starts with a C.

And that will make it better... how? It really comes down to the basic assumption that the negotiators are incompetent. That is the DPA perspective. Interestingly enough, they (DPA) have proven NOTHING about their abilities. And with that in mind, you would rather buy a pig in a poke, than go with something that is tested. I definitely do not want to go down the APA road.. do you?
Again, don't get me wrong, I am not happy with the rumors I am hearing, and I have emailed my reps saying just that very thing. But bloviating about how DPA will do better is like a blind white slip. You can't be angry when you get that uncommutable MEX trip. If we vote them in.. it is a bind WS. I do not think the risk is worth the gain.
