That's fine.. I want you to go into this with open eyes. If we vote in the donuts... we will likely remain under a BK contract for 3 to 5 more years. Also realize that we are currently operating under a BK contract that has no .. as in ZERO pay increases going forward. That means that the windmills we will be chasing are getting farther and farther away with each passing year. If you think the DPA can gen up all the committees and infrastructure that is necessary to go to the company with their offers, you are very clueless. But I will go along with whatever the group wishes to do.. if it means all of that.. then fine. I just hope being disgruntled will be worth it. I have my doubts.

And I REALLY resent you calling me an obama voter. We can disagree, but you don't have to be vulgar.

Wow, talk about a slap in the face, what was ALPA thinking? What a joke, time to fill out a FedEx or SWA app if this passes.

Again I will reiterate that I do not like what I am hearing wrt the TA. And I will ask you the same question I asked someone else too.. What will DPA do to improve on this? What is their strategy? I get that you hate ALPA.. I have no problem with that, but tell me how DPA will be better.

Anger isn't a plan. The APA is 5 years into contract negotiations and much changed since they started. If anybody on here truly believes any group can get 40% out of Delta in the RLA/NMB envoirment then they are the kool aid drinkers. I haven't decided yet, I'll wait for all the info but on the surface I'm disappointed.

While the details are complex and best left for a dedicated Negotiators’ Notepad, let me summarize by saying that if Delta executes its plan for the small narrow-body jet flying, the result will be a major shift of block hours to Delta mainline. The share of mainline domestic flying will increase by 21 percent and the ratio of mainline domestic to DCI flying will increase by 57 percent over the life of this agreement."

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The tilted spin on this sold to educated people is beyond comprehension. It's angering and disrespectful to the quality people it is being sold to. We don't need the used car salesmanship. It is one of my number one biggest dislikes about ALPA along with not doing what the line pilots ask (thinking on behalf of line pilots with some sense of superiority like everybody else is stupid). Oh yeah, don't forget about how ALPA talks down to and berates its membership.

This proposal is defecation at its worst! The proposal and DALPA stink pretty bad right now.

1. This agreement has nothing to do with DAL refleeting mainline.
2. Delta will buy 76 seat aircraft.

3. The BIG IF...

If voting in donuts will improve things.. and you can show me a strategy that they would bring.. I'm in.. but just being mad isn't gonna get us anywhere... Maybe sending this back will get us something better, maybe it won't.

Oh, and I totally resent your implication that I will vote one way or the other. I haven't made up my mind yet..
Fair enough man. We are all ****ed now and I'm not here to bicker with my Brethren. You are right in that all we can do now is send it back and hope for better.

Touche. I actually agree with the rest of your comment except no pay raises. Historically they have been retroactive to the amendable date, but agreed, that is no guarantee.

We might actually end up coming out ahead NOT voting this in with the concessionary work rules and multi billion dollar profits on the horizon. At the very least, not voting this in gives a few more years of better work rules over what we will have if it passes.

Someone que that picture with the planes crashing and message to not hurry negotiations when it results in losses.

Do you not find it even remotely disturbing that ALPA does not have as a Primary agenda item - the revision/repeal of the RLA?

Clearly. This is exactly what I've been arguing against for the past 5 years. My concerns about ALPA's mentality have been proven correct. I was really hoping I was wrong.
