I know you wrote this as tongue and cheek, but in all seriousness is tampering with the votes something that has come up in the past?
Anyway to verify the integrity of the vote?
Don't mean to sound naive here, just curious.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I hope this thing gets voted down by an overwheliming majority. Definite NO vote here.

Hard to say...the forum community is such a small fraction of the pilot group that you can't really get a good feel for the mood of the group as a whole from the here. I very rarely fly with anyone that posts here or even reads these boards. ALPA Board participation is probably even lower than here.

Haven't flown in a long time (reserve guy no where near a line), so I cant say or speak from what I've heard. But, I will vote a definite NO. No more rj's, and the pay restitution is not up to par. Shoot, we're loosing a third from profit sharing to finance a pay increase

My hunch is narrow pass or fail. I think Sailing is very fair in his own analysis: Scope is improved, and this is for F/O's, junior CA's on Reserve, CA's that want to upgrade to Reserve in better A/C, N CA's wanting early outs, and people nervous about economy. Senior CA's with no retirement enhancements, and no logical fear of adverse economy probably hate the payrates. Real junior F/O's that don't see value in Section 1, but bite on DPA bait join them. People who are just plain "yes" fatigued join in also, to make it a very narrow vote. Possibly a pass.
Even C2K was hotly contested.

If I haven't gotten them mixed up, he said:
1.) Not enough pay
2.) Not enough retirement contribution

I haven't talked to anyone voting yes... so that is a couple dozen NO's. However... I have a bad feeling its going to pass. The kool-aid flows strong in the south.

I have been at 3 airlines and have never known anyone to ever say they voted for any contract. Especially while in a crew lounge or crash pad!

When people post wild statements they lose all credibility. If you want a no vote on the TA you need to be unemotional and use simple facts.
This is a junior pilots TA. Several reps said exactly that to me. If this TA passes or fails it will be with the bottom half of the list. We will know how each base and segment votes on the TA. Want to put some money on the outcome? The reps of been in the lounges every day even over this holiday weekend. Ask them what they are hearing. I did.
