You know what else that merger will give them? Hundreds MORE jumbo RJs then our proposed TA will give us.

APA's proposal is 308 51-88 seat jets PLUS 352 70 seat jets. That's APA's proposal! That's supposed to be the good one!!!

Wow.. seriously? (Not meant in a sarcastic vein) I had no idea that APA were so desperate.

Of course the 757/767 fleet makes up about 35% of the entire fleet at DAL.. and the pay on it is significantly less than the 2x4/330 pay. This is a failure of this TA IMHO, but I will never win the banded pay/LGBP argument until most of the list is in narrowbody equipment I guess. It is not enough of a failure to scuttle it, but I think the pay system we have sucks.. always will from this point forward.

Raising the 767/757 pay into a band with the 330 and -400 would be a win, but the headwind against our cutting that deal is that the "767" fleet is composed of 192 757s and only 80 767-300s and 300ERs. Since the merger I haven't run into a single DAL pilot who says that he flies the 757.

I guess we have never met, although I DO refer to myself as a domesticated -ER category pilot.

Red Herring Alert. :(

Yes. Facts given by APA are definitely a red herring. You can check out AMR managements proposal online, but I guess that's just a red herring too.

Great argument except you left out the part about the 330 is replacing the 767.

And that is significant how? They have set the precedent and raised the bar. We failed at even meeting or leveraging it.

We did not even create more distance between 737 pay and get half way to a330 pay much less meet Hawaiians target.

We must have never met. :)

I got to fly the 767 about once every 3 months with less frequency than that as we "synergized."

I nearly always said "757 and 767."

More on topic, in this TA there is zero reason why the MD-88, A320, and 737 pay shouldn't be equalized into a single band.

The 737-900 should be increased to equal the 757, IMO... The 747-400 should have been bumped up a few bucks higher than the 777, as well.

Nice try. Hawaiian bundles 767 and A330 pay. If DALPA had been trying to raise the bar instead of doing the limbo, would we not have the same bundle in this TA?

Be nice to have 767 pilots making 199 hour over the last couple years but better yet would be a bundled rate at the 767/ a330/ 767-400 level, but DALPA missed that one too.

Opps.

Should I keep going?

Oh, let's not forget the huge pay DECREASE with all of the retired 767 domestic and 757 pilots displaced to the new 737-900 (which the company has already admitted are REPLACEMENT A/C and not GROWTH). Nobody seems to be factoring in the lower pay of the 737-900.

I agree totally. I don't even know if this was up for discussion, but it seems that it would save on training costs going forward.
