WILL you work for SWA?

The real truth is, We're ALL very small fish.
We think and talk like we run airlines, but we have little to no influence on most of what we argue about on this board.
You can influence the customers and employees who come in contact with you on a daily basis. You can vote in your union elections and ratifications. You can post anonymously on the internet. You can conduct on time and safe flight.
That's pretty much your sandbox.

Hello, been flying for Eagle for 15 years. I have my 737 type and have applied for Southwest and interviewed once in 2005-ish. I'm happy at Eagle and am a bit Optimistic about our future. I would gladly sling gear for anyone over at Southwest no matter where you came from. I would do my best to have fun, fly safe and contribute best I could so that the pilot group can get the best contract/pay while making the company money.... Now how about calling me for the future interview?

I will tell you that those who apply more than once are viewed positively. You sound like someone we need, unlike some of the whiners who feel slighted.

Thanks Oscar. I appreciate the honest answer.

Really Oscar!? Where in the SWA culture manual does it mention dumping on teammates? Could it be that you do not view AT guys as teammates yet? You and some of your honchos need to realize that we are already are part of your team. AT planes, pilots, and profits belong to SWA. Just last week I was called "The enemy" by a SWA captain while I was riding his jumpseat. Nice. Are you willing to move forward and make things better for all or do you want to roll around in the bitterness of the past.
It has been written on here many times that AT guys need to show up, ready to work with a smile on our face. I think you need to ask yourself whether or not you are willing to the same when a former AT pilot shows up to fly with you. If you are not professional enough to curb your attitude maybe YOU should be the one to seek employment elsewhere...

From: DOWNGRADE COMPLETE: Thanks Gary. Thanks SWAPA.
Does anyone else see the irony in that question? They're bitter yet we're the ones that got screwed in this SLI? The elitist SWA attitude lives on. GMAFB already.

I realize you're not represented by SWAPA but I would suspect that they'd at least have a talk with this guy because they know if you get no satisfaction from them, your next step is to go to the company. I'm certain the company would have more than just a talk with him depending on how the facts play out.
Everyone who thinks SWA management is touchy feely about this kind of crap is high. Culture? Our management is cold blooded and always has been. They ironically are nazi's about culture, yeah it's kind of strange.
None of us asked for this, we all fought for the best deal we could get, and it's time to move forward. The only enemies are the people who are stuck in the past.
