Good point. We have banned edged weapons since 9/11, yet we issue knives, forks, glass, and hot liquids on nearly every flight. Rip a soda can in half and you have two edged weapons. The advantage of the policy change is that now the good guys will also have a knife!

I'll be honest with you. There are probably only 2 people on this forum who want an FA's perspective. That's why it's a pilots forum and not an FA forum.
