Thank you. By most ways of measuring, we are a substandard AIRLINE, so you would be an idiot to expect anything other than substandard wages and benefits.
Maybe a substandard Airline is to be expected when you have an inexperienced ELT who are on their first rodeo. JJ |

So do I have it backwards? Are we taking 13, but it will feel like only 9 because the 321 won't be online till the end of the year? So we are takin 13, but will feel like 9?

Maybe. Maybe, being 2-5x smaller, 2-5x younger, 50% smaller average gauge aircraft, and having a much less mature network might also be contributing factors... (in addition to the inexperienced ELT).
I don't know. The AirTran boys managed to negotiate $165/hr on the B717 along with industry std benefits and protections. They stayed profitable too. Begs questions huh? I think the key word is "Negotiate". JJ |

I don't have a problem with a union or us being able to negotiate.
Oh I know. But, for many, any old job will do and lowering the bar for the profession is ok. JJ |

Legacy pay rates? Can't even match pay rates/ benefits of SWA, AT or AK. Growth (if that's even a concern) is not a function of having a non union Pilot group! JJ |

Why do you ask??? Growth is based on causal forecasting. Airlines look at the GDP, capacity in the system, and oil price. They DO NOT look at Pilot compensation or union/ non-union status. JJ |
