You guys are so full of chit.

Seems like the issue is with Pilot compensation and why it's so low. There seems to be no acceptable reason for it!

Yeah, no reason at all. I was just comparing all available metrics between JB and Delta. We are almost exactly the same airline.....

My perception is that Bluedriver thinks if we are compensated on par with our peers, JB will stop growth.
So be it. Pay us what was agreed to. PSIA.
Stop re-drawing the line in the sand.

I believe we can pay PSIA pay rates, with some other improvements. Raising pilot costs the full 30% overall, will slow our growth rate. That is what the numbers suggest.

We are simply NOT the airlines in our peerset. Yes, I know management agreed to the peerset, but YOU also know how incompetent they are. Considering the airlines in our peerset, we are attempting to box WAY above our playing weight. We have significant dis-advantages to all of them as a company.

Someone please do a comparison of what it would cost to raise the Flight ops budget by 30%, to what our total NET profit was for 2012.

Was just browsing the postings on here and have NO skin in the game. However, an observation and an opinion:

Any pilot preaching that lower pay rates = growth is a moron. From reading just a few pages of Bluedrivers posts its OBVIOUS he's a management stooge or wannabe.

OK. Care to back that up with some JB specific numbers? Or just make blanket statements.

I guess chalk you up as another "labor costs are totally free" and "all airlines have an equal ability to pay the same" guy.

Got it.

Are we just about ready to close this thread and let it die?

Ive been reading it for a while and it has digressed to essentially 2-4 folks with differing opinions going back and forth. Neither will see the others side.

Might be a better candidate for a PM instead of this waste of a thread? Will any of you miss it?

HEY BLUEJUICER...........................

JB wont even match Pilot compensation with AK. And, JB pay for the A321 is less than the much smaller B717 at AirTran.

STOP trying to rationalize the pay being lower as a function of "Delta" being a much larger carrier.

NEVER MIND DELTA!

Try explaining your way out of the fact that JB doesn't even match pay and benefits of AT and AK.

Got explanation???

Or we could just get back to talking about the movement at JB if any. Speaking of, how long can one expect to be on reserve?

As long as the other Majors are hiring, JetBlue will continue to lose Pilots. A lot of guys want to leave JB and should be in with a very good chance. This will help new guys move along.

Don't expect to see much growth but the industry defying attrition will be significant.
