Why do people keep saying this when EVERY person I know in the training/interview team states that it is a points based system that has parameters that are set PRIOR to receiving an interview invite. THEN AND ONLY THEN are your LOR considered....when you're sitting across the table from the interview team.

Been through the process. Your recs will be part of your package prior to the interview. They will only be considered after the interview provided you have been chosen to move onto the next phase, which is the board and final selection. Pretty straightforward.

Rolled over at 0130L and checked email on my phone...invite from SWA to head over to pilotcredentials, select an interview date, fill out some more forms, and add references (if so desired). Interview options range from mid Oct-late Oct, took one of the earlier ones. For those that care, without getting too specific- 5000+TT, 2000+TPIC, Masters, Mil EP, Some 121 SIC, and yes, I have a 737 type.
