How about UPT solo time? Sole manipulator, yes. But who "signed" for it? It's not a lot of hours, but what's the approved answer?

Until you pass your instrument check in T-38's and get a Form 8 (or whatever they call it now) it's student time.

A SWA jumpseater said 200 this year.....military time important and internal recs very important....they will call the person and speak with the person who wrote the recommendation he said.

Why do people keep saying this when EVERY person I know in the training/interview team states that it is a points based system that has parameters that are set PRIOR to receiving an interview invite. THEN AND ONLY THEN are your LOR considered....when you're sitting across the table from the interview team.

Exactly. Recs don't matter until you PASS the interview. Straight from Chief of Pilot hiring's mouth. Regardless of how many recs one has you still have to pass the interview to be considered.

There's not even a place to list internal rec names/employee numbers on the app page any more...

Been through the process. Your recs will be part of your package prior to the interview. They will only be considered after the interview provided you have been chosen to move onto the next phase, which is the board and final selection. Pretty straightforward.

Rolled over at 0130L and checked email on my phone...invite from SWA to head over to pilotcredentials, select an interview date, fill out some more forms, and add references (if so desired). Interview options range from mid Oct-late Oct, took one of the earlier ones. For those that care, without getting too specific- 5000+TT, 2000+TPIC, Masters, Mil EP, Some 121 SIC, and yes, I have a 737 type.
