SWA Hiring?
#242
Rolled over at 0130L and checked email on my phone...invite from SWA to head over to pilotcredentials, select an interview date, fill out some more forms, and add references (if so desired). Interview options range from mid Oct-late Oct, took one of the earlier ones. For those that care, without getting too specific- 5000+TT, 2000+TPIC, Masters, Mil EP, Some 121 SIC, and yes, I have a 737 type.

Last round of hiring, it took a few days, if not weeks, for SWA to send out all the email invites. If they are going to interview 4-600 for 200 jobs, it will take a few days to get all those emails out. OR, I could be wrong...

Sounds like you would be what DAL/UAL/AAL would be looking for.

Congrats HJS! I had a senior director of training in my jumpseat last week. He indicated that the hiring number was revised by crew planning and we will hire "well over 200", but wouldn't give me a number. Hopefully it is in the 300 - 400 range. Best of luck to all!

SWAPA (SWA union) guy was in lounge days before current hiring window was announced by company. He asked a few of us junior guys if "hiring 400 new hires would help us out?"
So another data point on the "maybe greater than 200" rumor. Obviously not solid intel - just a data point.
