The most junior SWA FO bases are OAK (most jr.), PHX, then LAS. DEN seems to be middle of the road for FOs. I would guess you could probably hold (at least a reserve) line in DEN once you get about 100-150 below you.

Good to know, thanks Rad1. If the premise of SWA's hiring is having additional pilots for FAR117 and vacation wouldn't that mean that all of the bases would need a few extra pilots? Or do you think more senior folks will jump ship from OAK and move to the more desirable bases?

The trend has been for new hires to start in OAK, then move east as more new hires come in below them. I got hired in Feb 2012. Due to the new hire stagnation since then and the (more senior) Air Tran flow, I am still stuck in PHX. My goal is to work my way east as my seniority improves. I know of several very junior FOs that live on the east coast and commute clear cross country every weekend to their bases in OAK, PHX, and Vegas. I strongly anticipate those 3 bases will remain junior, with migration east as seniority allows.
This is a great company, I love it here; and keep in mind I sit reserve every weekend with an 8 hour commute. I love my job and it can only get better. Don't listen to the haters. I wish you the best of luck.

This "new hope" thing is stealing my attention away from beer, baseball, and football... OK, well maybe not the beer.
