FWIW from someone is just spoke with that's "in the know" there will be 3 "waves" of interviews. One has been completed. So there will be two more waves of invites going out.

Almost all US airlines do DOD charters and have pools.

Anyone have any idea how long it will take to make it to the east coast as a new hire?

Will the window on the careers page be opening again as well? The Q's section and SWA-pilot credentials says you have to apply on the career site for each hiring window, so just wondering if all 3 waves will be from the window that was open last month or if it will open a couple more times. In case you're wondering I missed that window on the swa/careers part.

Chazz - No. The window for all three waves was done in the 2 week period when everyone could apply. They'll be sending invites from the applicants that applied.

Workingforfree:
Some questions about your interview:
How many were in your interview group? Do you have demographics on them? Is the format still logbook review, panel interview with the TMAT... and in-flight scenario? Did they give any indication on how long for the DB and calls and when classes might start?
I interview on the 7th. I am Mil/Civilan, 6800 total time, with mostly King Air PIC time. I got the 737 type back in '02 before I left Active Duty, but not in time to get hired. I have been flying Part 135 King Air Ambulance and C-12 in the Army Guard. Getting ready to try and retire and just applied to Southwest again for the first time in 11 years.

Do you have jet time? Flying a King Air is a great time, I love the airplane. But wondering if you had any airline experience, or if it was all military and 135 time?

6 in each group.... all typed. Mine was as below....

2 corporate

2 current 121

2 military

No changes to interview, was an amazingly relaxed and fun process from start to finish.

They want the first class to start on the 11th of December.
