Good luck to y'all interviewing! Anyone go recently? Did they say when the DB is?

The first interviews I'm aware of are next week. Still learning civilianese, I'm assuming DB is the Decision Board, don't know. Certain individuals earn the title DB in my world...:rolleyes:

And yes, DB is decision board. They usually let the candidates know on interview day of when it will be.

Interviews started this past Tues., run pretty much everyday (Tues-Thurs/Fri) to Thanksgiving-ish. I think it's 6 in the AM, 6 in the PM for 12/day. Looking for people with 737 type at first due to early Dec class (they say it's not enough time to interview in late Oct, meet a DB in mid Nov, get a type in late Nov, and start class in Dec.). DB should be mid Nov. Looking for 2 classes in mid Dec and one in early Jan, I think 24/class but not sure about that number. I would guess the emails to folks without the type might go out soon (for late Jan/Feb classes), I don't think they have thousands of apps with type rating anymore, I think the number is in the hundreds but don't quote me on any of this. Quick TLAR math (using the 60:1 rule of course!) that's about 216 interviews for 72 positions. So 1 in 3 should get the green light. Sound right to you?

144 interviews this month and 144 next month. Classes of 30 start on the 11th and 18th of December respectively... planning some for Jan also. Decision board is on the 13th (give or take a few days) of November. It was a great experience from start to finish!

I can't speak for the numbers as to interview to hire ratio. Maybe they want to start a pool for 2014 classes, who knows...I don't think SWA has had ratio "as bad as" 1:3 in the past, I've always assumed them to be closer to the 1:2 or better. Just my $.02

Looks like I missed the boat on this one. I start my 737 type class at Higher Power on Monday. Too Little too late I suppose.

Yes, same format. Great people and a great time. I am hoping this works out. I am here for the duration, if it does.
