To the mil guys who just got hired. When did you put your app in? The reason I ask is my time is similar to yours but I didn't have app in until September so I am wondering if they just haven't gotten to me yet. Thanks and congrats. My stats are:
2300, 2100 PIC
500 B-52
1100 T6 IP
700 King Air 350
Masters complete 4.0 but my Academy GPA was 2.3 what can I say I was into rugby and social activities.

I get it I don't technically separate until 31 Dec 14 but I was hoping that there might be a light at the end of the tunnel, looks like we are all just waiting our turn which I understand for sure. I will continue to wait and make some ends meat in the meantime.

Serious question - what are you doing now? I'd be flying. Have you done 121 before? If not I'd jump on with one of the commuters, especially one offering a quick upgrade(1-2 years).
The guys I've talked with that are MIL/121 qual'd are getting contacted.
Yes, the pay sucks. If it helps you get hired one month early it's worth another $25,000. Two months is worth $50,000, etc, etc. Along with better seniority every month for the rest of your career.

Hey I received a Delta CJO last week…app in for 18 months, "fix it" email exactly one year ago (Dec 2013)…
USMC ret
F/A-18, T-34, T-1 (USAF as a Civilian) and some GA time.
3700 total
3200 tpic
2500 IP
GPA Less than 3.0
2 speeding tickets
9 internal recs (5 Captains)
I know it sounds like just so much noise…but hang in there…and be ready when the call comes. I went to two Emerald Coast seminars. No kidding, it was tough to sit in the sessions with folks who had multiple interviews scheduled (Delta, AA, United)…but seriously, I learned a ton at those events. Honestly, I was beginning to doubt myself as well. Additionally, I would recommend printing out your app and having someone go through it with you. Also, put EVERYTHING you have done and every award you've received on that app…do not assume they know that a LtCol who retires after 20 years should have an MSM, Air Medals, etc…or what the Operations Officer at a guns squadron does…list all that stuff...just my two cents. Again, hang in there…it will happen.

Concur with GSSTEP. It's hard to wait. Did Emerald coast with GSSTEP in panama (I think there were 3 Marines in a room of 50 folks
). I did gov't contract work on a King Air 350 for a few months in west Africa after getting off active duty to get my multi time, get a type rating, stay current, and get some decent money too. It was hard work, but worth the sacrifice. Just a plug for contract work, but every dude I know who wanted Delta and worked for L3 or CAT got hired, my $.02 as well.
Get as many internal recs as possible. I also understand that DeltaNet now has a link that active pilots can click on and recommend an applicant, which is supposed to trigger a review. If you know someone inside, might be worth asking the question; a good buddy of mine said one of the instructors showed them how to do it during indoc.
App published sept '13
Left active duty jun '14
Fix it email jul '14 (high school GPA)
Invite to interview 11 Nov
CJO 10 Dec
Keep the positive mental attitude and even if you don't have the invite, start preparing because an invite is inevitable.

Thanks all for the advice I'm attempting to stay current the 3 months of terminal I took didn't help with that but I needed after my active duty with moving to a home I can be in for more than a year and all that, you guys get it. Right now I'm trying to do some instructor work after the first of the year and I'm going reserves in march so currency should be back up to speed. I do have a buddy at Delta but we haven't hit the press to test yet since my 90 day time is a no go right now, but as soon as I get some hours he said he will submit. As for the 121 time some people say it other say it doesn't matter, honestly if I'm going to be making so little money I'd rather be home at night thus the instructor work. As for the contracting stuff I've applied and waiting to hear back because that would help through the transition at least monetarily (don't think that is spelled right). Anyway thanks again and keep giving us hope that haven't gotten the call yet.
