Huge Congrats Charlie-17!!! Just curious about what was the make-up of the interviewees? Mil/cil/regional? Hrs/quals? and what happened to the other 4 that didn't get picked?

Thanks, I'm really excited! Although I've just been lurking, these forums have been immensely helpful for figuring out the whole process over the past year. I appreciate all everyone who contributes.
Our interview class had 8 mil/4 civ. 7 mil and 1 civ were hired. I was disappointed to see 4 good guys get dropped since the previous day went 12/12, so it seems our % was below average. One of the guys who made the cut was interviewing for the 2nd time after being told to re-apply in 12 months. A couple of the guys who got rejected were told to come back in 6 months, but I can't say for all.
I had 4 letters of recommendation, 2 internal.
Good luck to everyone....it's a great time to be a pilot!

Hired at United :-). Interviewed 10/15, job offer on 10/22 and looking like a class date of 1/13.
Civilian, 5500 TT, almost all at Part 121 regional, and all as 7+ year FO with zero Turbine PIC (still waiting for my first chance at an upgrade, though not anymore). BA, high GPA, and previous work on flight technical projects at another major carrier prior to flying full time. 6 letters of recommendation, one of which was from an internal and former colleague who is highly placed at UA. Also attended a job fair, which I understand is big in enhancing one's UA prospects. I brought a lot to the table, but definitely know how fortunate I am to have the opportunity with no PIC time. Good luck!
