Yes, definitely. And those same regionals will pay you more. Right now the best places to go are likely Endeavor, Envoy/Piedmont/PSA, or Skywest. The AA regionals offer a flow but with your experience you won't need to wait for a flow.

I am retired USN with mostly fixed wing turboprop and I chose Endeavor but I think any of those carriers I listed carry a good reputation for your resume. Do your homework...good luck.

99% of my fixed wing time is in King Airs, most of that overseas in Afghanistan. I acknowledge that I most likely need to build some experience in a regional in order to get a call from a preferred carrier.

Do any of the regionals out there look better than others on an app/resume?

Thanks!

Envoy was recently advertising a conversion program for military rotary pilots. I would google it if I were you. Your King Air time would make it easier. Envoy or Endeavor would be my choices due to the flow opportunities to American and Delta.

Good luck!

He doesn't need to do that. He has more than enough time to qualify for a restricted ATP. That conversion program is for guys that have no fixed wing time.

Correction. He most likely could get a full ATP right off the bat with his time.

With his resume, "reputation" of the regional won't even matter.

Sadly, the legacies/LCC's/freight really couldn't care less about the regional a pilot comes from. Even for a pure civilian pilot.

Piedmont has the bonus and ERJ's and no reserve right now.

He would qualify for the Mil ATP. 750 IIRC.

I didn't mention it, but I do have an unrestricted ATP.

I appreciate the info guys. I'll take a look at a few things and see who seems to be the best fit for me.

I'm an ex-Army FW guy currently at the regionals. PM me and I can try to answer specific questions you have.
