Awesome! You are one of the fortunate ones to receive multiple CJO's. Just goes to show you, when it comes to certain pilots with just the right resume, there is a "pilot shortage" as only one of those three airlines will get what they are after! Good luck and have fun.

I started college at the age of 16 and graduated at 20. I got all my ratings while attending college.. After graduating, I worked at the Blackstone group for 6 months(finance related, not flying)before leaving for a charter company(flying job)..The Gulfstream I fly now is also owned by Blackstone. The money at Blackstone was good, in the 6 months I worked there after graduation I earned 125k, ofcourse it was not a flying job. FO pay flying their Gulfstream is $120k per year so not a bad gig. You just don't fly much..

Also, I came from a poor family, my dad was a law professor in Pakistan and my mother was a Math Teacher..When they immigrated to the U.S in the 1970s, they had to start all over. My dad drove a nyc yellow cab for 25 years before starting a small food business and my mother was a stay at home mother in the states..I had a free ride at Penn so that helped(including room n board).. For flight training, I took out student loans from Penn for personal use but used them for the flight training..All in all, it worked out.
LOL. The new Tim Martins. If I had to bet, I'd raise the BS flag.

What?! In what way? Certainly not in regards to pay scale, work rules, QOL, contract, fleet, business model.....

Wow. What an arrogant statement. Where were you in the years post-9/11 when SWA, JetBlue, and FDX were the only games in town? Oh yes, that's right, you were only 9 years old, younger than my own children are now. Your naivete is showing through in a big way.

I read your posts recently (before your UAL offer) where you were looking at regional airlines. Should we take this to mean that had you not gotten an offer by UAL, that you would not even consider SW or JB?

Most pilots would be thrilled with those two "regional airlines" as you call them, in addition to UAL/AAL/DAL and several others. You sure are full of yourself. For your sake, I hope you make it through training unscathed.

^^^ Agreed. And to clarify my previous statement, I meant no disrespect to JB. Plenty of HAPPY friends there. Hopeful for them as they move forward. I would definitely consider working there.

LGApilot, you clearly know little to nothing about the industry. I'm highly doubtful you've ever even flown into LGA! Maybe it's an acronym?

Back to who's been hired....

LGA Pilot you are full of it!!

If you worked for Blackstone then you are even more so. A hedge fund that specializes in destroying companies and people's lives. You must be so proud.

Seems like flying an airliner is way too boring (especially augmented crew long haul) and way beneath you!

You might want to think about long term versus long haul and companies like SWA who treat their employees quite differently than some others. I flew long haul for 25 years and after you've seen the world it is booooring, while getting maybe 3 landings a month if that.

So Captain Doogie Howser have fun; I don't think you'll last a year and if you do, you're in for a few surprises for the next 40 years!!!

Looking at your posts it seems you went from looking at regionals to getting hired by UAL in short fashion. Fiction writer seems to be your calling.

Not a dig at all, but I'm just wondering if anyone has compiled a list of which airlines have PBS vs Line bidding?

If you must be in LA then AA is a no brainer because commuting cannot be fun..
Is there a way to delete a post? If so you should delete this.

Guys, I never said anything negative about SWA, it's a great company..Magic has AA and UAL offers. I would assume a career at the legacies will be more rewarding than flying for SWA..More options, international flying, etc...
