Plus I wonder at what point training gets on the back side of the curve and has to pull line instructors to fly, further increasing any potential training bottleneck. It might be crisis mode until autumn at least.

My listed availability date on all my apps is 15 Feb. I expected to get some calls by now but are the companies going to wait until my availability date before they send me an invite?

I wouldn't hold your breath. Some people wait for years before getting a call.

a lot of people are interviewing well before their availability date. Active Duty military comes to mind. Many have already interviewed but aren't available to start until spring or summer.

Be patient. Your times are good but on the lower end of the average qualified applicant. Network and go to conferences, keep updating and be ready for when the call comes. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't come right away though.

Need opinions… Retiring military. Want nothing more than to be a pilot with a major. Done flying at the end of Feb. If a major doesn't call, need to find a job to stay current…
Option 1: Regional (focus would be on flying a jet and quality of life).
Option 2: Contract pilot (overseas every few months to fly turboprops).
What would you do?
TT 2000 (all turbine / 750 fighter time)
PIC 1300
MEL 1800
