Whoa looks like that got out of hand...
Sorry about that, I was just posting my "hired" status with respect to the original purpose of the thread and not in response to any previous discussions.
I included certain stats about myself for the benefit of others looking to move up, as during the application process I was concerned about things like lack of turbojet time, checkride failure, and speeding tickets...
So, just information for information's sake...

Questions for the masses:
1. Does the fact that you did or did not give 2 weeks notice appear on a PRIA record?
2. Assuming that a person has good reason, family issue, would it be acceptable to not give 2 weeks notice.
3. If that person was already hired by another airline (X), the place they plan to stay, do they risk losing the job with (X) by not giving (Y) 2 weeks notice?

Can anyone tell me who has been getting a invite for an interview at Delta from off the street? I have heard they are looking for astronauts. I have a friend with an interview and it appears they are looking for this;
8000 hours total time
6000 hours PIC
5000 hours Turbine PIC
6000 hours Part 121
Never failed a checkride
Three or Less driving tickets/violations
Applied over 5 years ago
Graduated magna cum laude GPA 3.9
1 internal letter of recommendation
Bachelors degree accomplished in 4 or less years, no breaks
Am I missing anything? Would you agree that this is what they are looking for? Has anyone gotten an interview with anything other than this? I know that military is a whole different animal and has an entirely different criteria. I am just curious who has been getting the invite. I have a lot of friends that got the fix it email but then have heard nothing. Guess they currently have 8000 applications right now too. Just curious of the 8000 how many actually meet this criteria?

Hey, not sure if this is the right thread for this, but a Cobra buddy of mine has been asking me if he has a chance at the majors/LCCs... Do any of them (maybe JB?) accept rotary time? I don't believe he has any more fixed wing time than flight school. Maybe he could be a cadet for Cathay???
Thanks

Agree with the above assessment. He needs ATP mins to even apply for the regionals. If he is still in, he needs to try and land a C-12 gig or something like that. If he is out, he is basically starting from scratch and should probably either consider doing something rotary related or getting his CFI and going that route.
