JetBlue requirements are below those at other Majors.

Just saying.

Congrats though.

JetBlue requires neither, much like the requirements at the regionals.

Actually I was just questioning the reason of your post and wondering what the purpose of pointing out the requirements. It was sorta like kicking someone in the jimmy then buying him a drink. Weird. I guess unless someone is hired by the almighty their not worthy? Is that it?

Oh I see. Well, it kinda looked like the guy who was hired had listed his qualifications for other guys who may be looking at going to a Major. I was just pointing out that JB hires guys with less, and with less than required elsewhere.

Actually, American Airlines has no requirement for TPIC or a dregree. Your comment is invalid! AA Quals Also, all other majors have no requirement for TPIC, another invalid comment! United Quals, Delta Quals

So not sure what your problem is with jetBlue. You seem to always post negative towards the company. Get your facts straight before you post because you sound like the village id!ot. I've seen less qualified people go to all legacies, everyone hires a large diversity of people. At this point in the game, a pilot is a pilot, we fly the same airplanes to the same places, it's a job not a d!ck measuring contest.

SWA requires TPIC.

DAL requires a 4 yr degree.

JetBlue requires neither!

My comment was: JetBlue's requirements are below those at other Majors.

Invalid???????

SWA and DAL are other Majors aren't they?

Negative?

Not if you're the guy who wants to go to a Major but doesn't meet the minimums for other Majors!

I would not say Below Just different. The airlines pic what is important to them. Delta wants a degree. Southwest wants PIC and a type. American seems to want a diverse group of people at there airline. I say Look for the best airline that fits you and your needs. Just because a guy does not want to work for your airline of choice does not make it any less of an airline. At the end of the day we all do the same thing. Good luck to all of us.

5000 hours Turbine PIC
6000 hours Part 121
Never failed a checkride
Three or Less driving tickets/violations

1 internal letter of recommendation
Bachelors degree accomplished in 4 or less years, no breaks

Am I missing anything? Would you agree that this is what they are looking for? Has anyone gotten an interview with anything other than this? I know that military is a whole different animal and has an entirely different criteria. I am just curious who has been getting the invite. I have a lot of friends that got the fix it email but then have heard nothing. Guess they currently have 8000 applications right now too. Just curious of the 8000 how many actually meet this criteria?
If the above is available and they can fill their classes then I suspect that's what they would hire. Normally you try and get the best people you can when you hire.
