I stand corrected. Thanks

Is he buddies with Tucker? If so I'm pulling my card.

He may know him tangentially, but Tucker is north and Donatelli is south. IIRC, Donatelli has only been DTW based for about 6 months or so. IMO, he is really an amazing choice for MEC chair.

Like anyone else we owe the MEC Chair a fair shot.

Why? Shouldn't we already be talking about what a surrender monkey Moak disciple he is? Let's beat the rush.

I truly think the entire MEC will get behind him. He's charismatic, has proven his ability to organize, lead, and prioritize and has a real passion for the Delta Pilots.

I personally look forward to "Puppy" getting in to office and moving this pilot group forward as a unified body. His SPC background and success there is something that is very positive.

rsor,

A little. He has experience with the SPC, which might come in handy. I think he was Chairman for DAL and National. I'm not personally aware of his other past union functions, but I've met him couple times during BK. He seems to be trade unionist, and have his heart in the right place. I like the guy. Smart, and assertive. I think he's from Chicago, and I'd enjoy being in the room if Carl wanted to start a cliche rant on Chicago-style politics with him.

Chicago style thug politics is no rant Sink r8. It is what it is. It's tough, dirty street-fight style politics. My only objection to its use among DALPA is that to date, it's only used against our own members who dare step out of line. If we use it as required against management when necessary, then let's see how that works. When it's used exclusively against fellow pilots, then I have a problem with it.

For all those guys that don't like to hear your inconvenient truths, I am one that does. I am glad you toned it down, but you make excellent points.

Agreed.

Don't let the spudhaulers and tsquares change you one bit. These guys are followers, not leaders. If you say anything against what current leadership is saying, the only thing they know to do is attack and ridicule because you kicked over the beehive.

Hope you continue to call it exactly as you see it.

Thanks, guys.

I'm not blown away by the new guy's "opener"...lots of squishy nothingness.

Interestingly, he and Dickson were classmates at USAFA.

I'm way beyond words when it comes to DALPA. It's all about actions for me. Period.

But a couple of things stick out. First is the 10-9 vote. By looking at the councils, it looks almost exactly like the vote to recall Roberts. I can't tell, but it looks like Nestor in ATL and somebody else in another council changed their votes, but it was basically the same as the recall vote. Does this mean we're in for more top-down Moak style dictatorship and marginalizing our reps? We'll have to wait and see the actions. Second, we'll know a lot depending on what this guy does with the 4 unelected miscreants on the MEC administration that worked to personally destroy the previous chairman. He needs to send these so-called "irreplaceable subject matter experts" back to the line quickly. If he does that, it may bode well for a new direction at DALPA.

We all have to watch the actions as opposed to listening to words.

LOL. T you crack me up. He is USAF and a democrat so it could end that way. His background is ideal however. I'm not as much of an ALPA hater as you guys think, we just need someone intelligent running the show for once. TO was NOT that person.

+1. He is a fellow pilot and deserves that opportunity.
