A320b and over 200k, hoping not to hit amt. Pretty easy with green slips, and I don't work that much. Best month, 18 days off and 21,600 gross.

A couple questions.

Was the 18 days off/21,600 gross the same month?

Mind sharing where you are domiciled and your bidding strategy?

I was afraid a sharp eyed iggle would pick that up. Due to conditions beyond my control, my retirement disappeared. we are talking beans and rice here. Today is 78 and sunny. Y'all come. Delta flies on Sat. It basically is a cheap Cayman with fresh water.

8th yr 73n FO, live in base & answer the phone every time it rings. End up with 14 days off/mo average. Including profit sharing will nearly hit $250K this year....(counting what we'll get 2/14/15 as it was earned this year). Living in base is KEY, not caring what your days off are and proper/strategic utilization of payback days (bidding rsv in the summer & rolling thunder). Still had PLENTY of time on the boat, Elk hunting and snow skiing. Worked every holiday except this coming Thursday (I forgot to bid, seriously).

You can make serious coin at Delta after only a few years. Be senior in your equipment and live in base --> you'll be a green slip machine. By year 5 you'll be moderately senior in the 737 or 757/767 and at that payscale $200K is easily attainable if you factor in the 15% DC plan.

Then you'll become enamored with four stripes, bid 88A/717A, go back to reserve and take a pay cut.

(And things are only going to accelerate.)

NO, 13, 18 and 20. They've been properly trained to run for any 404 area code call....and the 18 yr old one time tried to accept a GS for me because my hands were greasy working on the boat, scheduler asked him nicely to put me on speaker phone. I've had $5,000 beers twice this past winter...crack open a beer before dinner and 5 min later the phone rings....DOHHH!....almost enough to drive a man to give up IPA...but not quite
