Current Negotiations
#1
I am wondering how any current negotiations are going:
Southwest, Alaska, Airtran... (others welcome)
What are the pilots asking for? What is company hoping to get?
Does anyone have any details on Frontier's TA?

Alaska is in the negotiating process. Right now, the discussions are about the sections in the contract that, basically, can be discussed and "agreed" to, without any "changes". The parts of the contract that take longer to discuss, such as PAY, come about down the road. We've just begun negotiations a couple of weeks ago. So Alaska is fairly early in the process. Time will tell.

Or, is it something from a past contract, I'm thinking of.

So, I agree that we are working under our first negotiated contract...But, believe me. It was not our first "real" negotiations.
And, you might want to consider that many of us are refugees and have been through many negotiations at our first couple airlines.

Our D.O., and President (CEO?), actually say our W-2s are thin, and want to bring them up.
HOWEVER, our work rules are too fat. SOOOOOO....
We'll see.

USAirways East & West have been negotiating a single contract with management for over a year ...
What are the pilots asking for?
Not enough ... barely the "best of both" contracts in most areas. And payrates that are absurdly low for a company that is offering over 10 BILLION for DAL ...
What is company hoping to get?
The "worst of both" contracts ... and then some.
They provide lip service to the public & investment community and state they will offer the "best of the three" for labor if the DAL deal goes through.
Meanwhile at the negotiating table, they find our SCOPE proposals to be too confusing for them ... STALL, STALL, STALL ... our work rules too expensive to adminster, shouldn't the FARs be enough ? etc., etc., etc.
And they even find it too expensive to reissue our new and improved black uniforms with a HAT ... as required by our contract if the uniform design is changed.
