This really seems to be a struggle for some guys who apparently never mastered speaking in front of an audience. They just mumble and stumble their way through a poorly thought out monologue that offers neither reassurance, brevity, or clarity.

This is essentially me. It's not that I won't or don't do PAs. But I keep it to the ones the company wants me to do and keep it as short as possible. That is, unless there's really something for me to say like we're going off schedule or something.

I once gave a detailed description of our flight to LAX....... The girls called immediatly and congratuated me on my P.A., informing me that the flt was actually going to SFO.

It's even better when you fly for a big regional and have to try to remember which paint job you're flying that day.
