If you think the wage is too low, that's fine, and the market will dictate what happens next. If the wage is too low, not many will show up and the rate will have to go up.

And why be only upset at this one contract offer of a widebody position based at FLL? No shortage of FLL/MIA based US-carriers flying widebody aircraft for less than what Norwegian is offering. Eg, Amerijet 767s, Florida West 767, Centurion MD11, etc. Just drive around the roads around MIA airport and all the widebody N-registered aircraft operated by American pilots are probably doing it for less than what Norwegian is offering.
Exactly right.

Why would it be? Remember that there are many US airlines with bases in other countries......, the whole "Open Skies" thing are bilateral agreements

Your way of looking at it goes against the argument "That is your enemy, you should fear your enemy, your enemy will destroy your career, resist your enemy, and remember....., Only ALPA can save you from your enemy"

This ^^^ They aren't simply basing crews here. If that's all it was, I'd have no problem with it.

When you say "many" can you give some examples? Because other than the package haulers, I can't think of any US Airlines that have "bases" in other countries.....

If your referring to the quickly dismantling NRT hubs that the airlines operated after WWII to get Japan's aviation sector going quickly (and the same back in Germany that are already dismantled), those aren't "bases" they just are hubs that are using the rights from post war. All of the pilots are "based" in the US.

If your referring to UAL in Guam, well, it's a protectorate of the US, and although not a state, all the US employment laws apply there just as they do in SFO.

Otherwise, not sure what in the H$^# your talking about....

Corrosion Corner and the Cargo Ramp validate your point precisely.
