It is a B-scale. The union thinks the shortage will be worse in 2 years so the company will naturally decide to extend the higher rates longer, but I like definitive contracts that don't allow for such bull****. "No" on principle.

Those rates are correct. And yes, there is more to the story:
3-A-4 The First Officer pay rate scales for DOS and DOS+1 are interim
scales. The Company may, at its discretion extend the interim
scales in increments of one (1) year, with ninety (90) days’ notice to
the Association.
3-A-5 No First Officer will have his hourly pay rate reduced at the
conclusion of the interim pay scale or during any extension to that
scale A First Officer will be paid the higher of the interim scale rate
or the otherwise applicable scale rate.

So, it's the company who decides whether or not that $36 year 1 gets extended beyond the first 2 years of the contract.
And, that second part to me only means they can't cancel the "intern pay scale" earlier than the 1 year term.
So, basically, you guys put it in the contract that 2-3yr FOs, at the discretion of the company can be be given a paycut at DOS+2. Embarassing.
^^^exactly what he said.

Your union is absolutely disgraceful. Lowering the rates of future pilots. Do we never learn? This has been done before. Back in the day, it was called B-scale. How could your MEC let this even go to a vote?
Full disclosure, I've been at a legacy almost 10 years, but I have been following how regional pay has been rising. Then you guys do something like this and set the regionals back again.

Why does the max captain rate rise 5.8 percent during the life of the contract while the FO rate only rises 2.9 percent? I laughed at the 62.5 percent deadhead pay. Really? I thought everyone had a 100 percent deadhead pay at this point. Talk about nickeling and diming.

You do realize that Allegiant and Alaska and most other majors on there make about a million times more than mesa pilots right?? And you're arguing about them not making 50%+ DH pay. Besides most of the regionals still get more for Dh than you will with this, even some of the lower tier ones.

My data came from aerocrew news. It's one source. I don't claim it to be 100% accurate. But it's generally pretty good.
My point was don't say everyone but us has 100%. It's wrong. I'm advocating truth, not unsubstantiated claims.
I'm working on a pay chart. A lot of industry standard being thrown around again without hard data. Data for this coming from apc pay charts.
Just going for truth in advertising not random claims.
