Im over 150 this month right now already .. my second July paycheck is going to be over 100 hours from June flying .. dear God.. the 8/15/17 check is going to be killer for us dash guys.. 2500 captain retention plus 3000 dash bonus plus 50 hours pay.. that's a 9k gross for me in one check... crazy.. literally crazy..
I'm sorry for posting in mesa... I was just responding to someone saying they make more at mesa than at pdt.

Not very excited to take a 50K pay cut in Oct to go fly for mainline. Im 10k short of grossing 100k at pdt right now. W July check I will be right under it. Also, I have NEVER once dropped below 11 days off a month the entire year at little ole Peed On. Really a 10 grand month at pdt is a bad month and has been for the last 18 months. But, All the regionals are still garbage. Appreciated the rides to and from the Reno Air Races on Mesa last few years also.

I am so happy for everyone getting into the regionals now at 23/24 most will be where they want before 30. Doesn't matter where you are Mesa, Great Lakes, Envoy.. You upgrade gain some expirence-do something for your company other than just line fly and any of the big 3 will offer you a interview. Ugg sorry for the post that is useless to the topic of the thread. TOTD nominated

Agreed
MKUltra and Battlinbear21, I quite agree with you.
Someone who gets their 4 year college degree (need I say that again?), gets their hours, works at any of the regionals, volunteers, and keeps their nose clean can expect to be hired by a major by just before their 30th birthday. (Assuming no black swan event, like 9/11.)
Any of the six majors (American, Delta, United, Southwest, FedEx, and UPS) will afford a pilot a very nice upper middle class lifestyle and excellent assets for retirement.
With the mandatory retirement wave (which is going to last 20+ years), someone hiring on by age 30 can expect an upgrade to captain by their mid-40s or so. They will spend a couple of decades in the left seat, making excellent coin, and spending quite a few years with a choice of prime lines.
I am not a rah rah, I am just stating the facts.
