They moved all the 145s to E. Mesa is using mostly 30 and above. A few exceptions to low b and d.

Part 121 experience there is not choice. Things are changing now. Got a friend that took 11yrs to go to majors..$60k first yr is no bad,but 2nd yr with no bonus making barely 40k sucks..if you dont upgrade to ca.
I am in a similar boat as you. I have had interviews with ENY, C5 and OO but one thing that is critical to me is that I live very close to DFW and not "too far" from IAH. None of the three I mentioned can offer the upgrade AND the home base.....at least not for at least 1.5 to 2 years. I am at least intrigued by what Mesa has to offer my specific situation but (as has everyone else) I have heard the bashing for years and years. Back in my day at XJT it was more about G7, though.

The insurance isnt an issue, as my kids are all on the wife's insurance. I am sure you have seen me make similar posts on the ENY page and C5. I am truly weighing all my options. I have 2 CJO's from 2 of the 4 regionals I have mentioned. Each day seems to bring a new factor or item to consider, so I am not in a rush.

Mesa offers what you need probably on the ejet side. CRJ will be in IAD at least a little while. But then ... you should start building seniority somewhere. Mesa gives you faster advancement because of higher turnover.

out of training you're gonna get IAD on the CRJ side, ERJ is faster atm on the training side but longer to hold a line and upgrade. That being said you know your base right out of the gate. CRJ you'll move up the latter and upgrade quicker if you want to be in and out of the regionals quick and willing to embrace some of the suck that comes with commuting then CRJ may be better, if you're open to moving to IAH and sitting reserve both as an FO and as a CA for some time longer then E-jet is for you. E-jet is also a lot more automated so keep that in mind as well.

You really cant compare both planes and lifestyle. The trips and pairings are better on Ejet side. The planes are way newer much nicer and alot more tech. Reserve is only a month which aint bad at all.
