Going through training here now and don’t have any real complaints. Nice people in HR and the training department. The pay is really nice and you’ll fly here (close to 90 hours a month) which ultimately gets you to wherever you’re end goal airline is. Some may say this is still the “honeymoon” stage but I have no complaints here and would definitely recommend Mesa if the bases work for you.
hope all is well. Any advice for the new hires that’s starting in the next couple of months?

Study mostly the systems and limitations they sent you for whatever aircraft you’ll be on especially if this is your first jet/type rating. Don’t stress to much or look to far down the road of your training footprint otherwise you may feel overwhelmed. Prepare to be out here about 2 months with 5 days on/2 off.. If you have any specific or additional questions don’t hesitate to reach out.

I’m EJet, they say there is no delay predicted for us and I’m inclined to believe them due to the new pay rates and I’m sure they don’t want us to sit at home collecting that money. The hotel is full of people being brought back in to finish up and they’re from all different hire dates stretching as far back as March 2022. Anything could happen like a sim going down or instructor leaving but so far everything seems on track for new hires.

Skywest is roughly 4 times the size of Mesa. (Arguably more stable). QOL varies but I can’t say one is better than the other. Mesa will build time faster. Mesa is significantly more money. 401Ks are within a percentage point or two. Don’t discount the 10.00/hr. That’s 760 a month more minimum and easily much more. You will probably credit 85-95 a month so that’s 850-950 a month more. Nearly 10,000 a year.
A 737 type rating is obtainable at Mesa and the 73 is no longer senior. Aviate is no joke.

And the dirty secret....flying the 737 absolutely stinks. The e-jet is much better and pays the same.

You have to compare apples to apples. The other regionals don’t have anything like the premium ppo plan. So you can’t compare the rates.

Post the rates of the premium plan at other airlines equivalent to the premium ppo. Then we can have a rational conversation.
And I’m not a recruiter bltch.
