Yup - SK and JO go back a few decades. SK knows exactly who he is dealing with and what he will get.

Hmmmm. So you know more than SK and JO? You can see their playbook? Please tell us all how it works.

This was from a LAMA who has been at United for many years. I think it is a plausible theory.
United will get all the 175s (125 I believe)they own and currently leased to express back on their property and have new Aviate pilots go there with a 4 year seat locked
2 as first officer and 2 as captains
all in the United seniority just like Lufthansa does
it will be on their next TA
Little by little 2 year plan to get the 175 going on their certificate
That’s why the 900 will temporary replace the 175

So a 4-5 year 175 captain at Mesa making well over 150 hr goes to UA, goes back to the right seat on the same plane for 91hr first year pay ?
Not gonna go over too well

No doubt there would be some senior captains who'd be upset about it. Most would be happy to have a seniority number I suspect.
