MESA won an injunction, not the trial - big difference. In other words fella's - The Jury's still out on this one.

Delta has internal tracks of what is going on and what level of service is provided. They would not make that public because of the negative publicity. They just have to overcompensate for the mistakes of their DCI portfolio.
AND upon further investigation MESA Airline (I think just Air Midwest DBA "Mesa Airlines") was evaluated and didn't do so hot in 2007(not to say everyone else did that much better): http://eventplanning.about.com/gi/dy...ts/2007aqr.pdf
What's important to me to get across on this board is that the actions that make Freedom desirable or undesirable to Delta have very little to do with the individual contributions of the pilots who operate Freedom's flights. One can hope for the best for the pilots (or fellow brothers and sisters) without also supporting the management team or the company.
I agree with 'Scoop'. The trial is where the real action is. Furthermore, if it is true that an injunction was issued based upon Freedom's (and Mesa Air Group's) financial solvency, rather on the alleged breach of the terms of the contract enter into between Delta and Freedom, Delta may very well win @ the appellate level on the merits of the injunction.

Very well put Sniper.
Delta substantiated the cancellation due to freedom's "performance issues" as evidenced by the multitude of Press Releases related to the injunctions.
I guess we will find out more details as to the extent of these issue as the case progresses.
Of course we as pilots only have so much control of any performance issues.
I hope Mesa Pilots understand they really aren't the cause of the problem so much as they are somewhat indirectly involved. We as pilots only have so much control over a situation. And as proven with GO!! there will be a scapegoat other than JO if everything unravels.

Since those 900's are owned by DAL, mesa had better be on their best behavior. DAL would be reluctant to fire a 900 operator who owns their own planes because those are a hot commodity (even today), and they would quickly end up flying for a competitor. But mesa is easy to get rid of (gotta give DAL some credit for setting it up that way in the first place).

Word out of MEM a few times was that Pinnacle or Comair will get those 900's when they completely kick Freedom out in 4 years... They want to keep them out of JFK so my bet would be Comair.
