Facts:
1) Mesa is one of, if not the worst, airline in America. Not because of their employees but because of Orenstein. He used to work for Lorenzo (chip off the old block), he has been found guilty of illegal business actions several several times over that last two decades and he single handily took a descent regional (Mesa before 98) and turned them into today’s worst bottom feeder.
2) DAL now cares more about quality than the lowest cost. If someone has to high of cost and provides equal services as others then DAL will whip them into shape or ditch them. If others who are on par as far as price but below average in quality DAL will whip them into shape or ditch them as well (this is what’s happening to Mesa). DAL wants system wide consistency on both price and quality.
3) DAL needs to cut capacity and Mesa’s going to get the full Axe whereas others will get the chisel.
I do wish all Mesa employees the best but Orenstein’s got to go one way or another. I do not want to see anyone lose their jobs but Orenstein hasn’t shown the same kind of compassion that you guys are asking for. If you get the axe and the downward spiral gets increasing steep then you only have one person to blame……………..Orenstein! You all should picket 24/7 outside his house and the houses of the BOD until he is gone and gone for good.
BTW, when I speak of quality I’m not talking about the pilots. I’m sure that the majority of Mesa pilots are outstanding people, the ones that I’ve jumpseat with were. No, when I’m talk about quality I’m talking about the a/c and other aspects. All one has to do is get on board and see the lack of care; from the disgusting seats that haven’t been properly maintained to the finger prints and grease stains on the overheads and walls. Plus Mesa's airplanes haven’t been washed in ages and no offense but I’ve seen more unprofessional FA’s on Mesa flights than any other (when you two leg commute you quickly get to know who is Q and who is not). I’m talking about not facing the passengers when you do you announcements to the partial uniforms and unprofessional mannerisms/tones. We all have bad apples but I seen more on Mesa flights than anywhere else. At SKW as well as many others our a/c get routine baths and its mandatory that our Mx professional do a complete wipe down of their interior and exterior work areas as well as a spot search for other areas of interest. If I see a stain on the wall I will do my best to clean it off or I’ll call for a Mx professional to come over to take care of the matter. On the majority of Mesa flights if they want to remove all the stains they’d have to cancel the flight in order to have enough time.
Once again, don’t take this personal Mesa peeps. It just shows that your Mgmnt team would rather put out a cheap product than a quality product. To them the cheapest will always survive and that’s not necessarily true anymore.
Best of luck guys but until JO's gone........................well I'm preaching to the choir.
Take Care,
JK

Delta cut RAH flying? Or you just saying they moved the aircraft. That they did. There's a big difference between shifting the flying around between markets, especially post merger, and canceling contracts. If you need a more detailed explanation send me a PM. Last I checked DAL is still getting more Ejets.

I would say that is very performance related.
