I've heard the same thing. I'm all for it. The one thing it WOULD do is force out the current MEC. That would be the best result of teamsters.
But yeah, it wouldn't change much. But just getting those lazy no good people out of the ALPA office would be a good enough reason for me to vote for them.

Your MEC officers can be recalled w/out voting the Teamsters in. Don't be foolish! Why trade a substandard MEC for a substandard union???

I guess it doesn't matter to me now. I was furloughed yesterday. Those cheap buggers even wanted me to send them my wings and epaulets. I gladly did. Keep it.

Sorry to hear that Irish, but maybe you'll realize like I have that it's for the best anyway... to hell with that pos company. The funny thing is, on unemployment, I'm only making about $500/month less than when I was working there... how sad is that? Do you know how many more were let go this month? I was one of 58 last month, and with all the crap going on, I have no regrets. As for the wings and epaulets, when I went to turn in all my manuals the guys could've cared less what was turned in. All they really wanted was the crew badge. I kept my wings on the principle that I paid for those damn things! Then I threw them away..lol... anyway, hang in there, take care and good luck to all of us!
