I might add, I dont know how often this happens, but if some of your pilot group did not CONSTANTLY lie about their times and put their actual in and out times to the station this MAYBE would not have happen. Its insane to hear the times get reported especially in CLT to ops. I push at 1057, the Mesa planes next to me pushes 5 minutes later and reports an out time of 1047??? SAY WHAT?
If there are passengers on-board the Aircraft....the crew needs to be getting paid as they are directly responsible to the safety of said passengers.....period....that being stated......this is NOT the industry standard....WHICH IS WRONG......
now.....if the door is closed the brakes are released and the Beacon is on you are ready to go..........Every Captain has to call it like they see it.......I find it hard to beleive that Pilots are flat out lying about out times......make the sytem work for your situation within the parameters of the FAA Regs and company policies

So is that two pilots whom work for Mesa on here admitting to making up times for, "On time performance" numbers and the other due to, "Nothing prevents us from doing it and its the Captains decision." Wow I certainly hope not every Mesa pilot is like this...

It was SOP when I was there...that was before block or better.

Speaking of UPS pilots, we view it as a concession in a CBA. We don't want it. While it does have a few benefits, they don't outweigh the financial benefits of NOT having it, such as carry-in and conflict bidding.
Also, PBS is much more efficient in optimizing scheduling/staffing. Translation: Fewer pilots needed on the payroll.

I'm totally shocked that management pulled pbs. I was sure that even with all the benefits tied to PBS that it would still have saved the company money.
Do you think that our MEC knew what they were doing when they chose not to put PBS to a vote? I'd like to think that the MEC knew the company were going to pull PBS and didn't want to put it to a vote for that reason as part of their strategy. Does anybody know?
I feel kind of silly now suggesting to our MEC to pull PBS as a strategy to get a negotiation chip to leverage more in the next contract. Obviously that strategy would have played right into the hands of the company. Maybe our MEC needs more credit than they get.
Like someone said on the other thread, I'm sure the company will now use the PBS software to generate the monthly lines.
I'm lucky that I am furloughed because I see some rough times ahead for the remaining mesa pilots and wish all my firends there the best of luck.

I'm quite confident no one at the MAG MEC has anything that even remotely resembles a strategy. The game at the MEC office down on 44th street is definitely checkers not chess... make no mistake about that.

Gentlemen, you have 3 more months of dealing with K.W and his lets-golf-with-JO cronies. Hopefully times will get better for you here soon. I wish the best of luck to the 400 'no voting' Mesa pilots.
P.S: To meyers9163 and all the other numb nuts, your beating a dead horse with the 'my contract is better than your contract war.' A majority of posters in this thread were NO voters and would agree with you. Take it elsewhere.

"Faith means making a virtue out of not thinking. It’s nothing to brag about."
love it. Is that from Bill Maher's "Religulous?"
anyway: trip rig, duty rig, hourly raise. That's all we needed, and that's all we still need. Right? Can't vote yes until I see that. They say that's too much to ask. Well . . . F my life.
Just kidding about the last
